Манай орон газрын доорхи эрдэс баялгаараа баян. Өнөөдрийн байдлаар 6000 гаруй ашигт малтмал, эрдэс чулуулаг бүртгэгдээд байна. Хэдийгээр манайд газрын ховор элемент их байгаа ч үүний хэрэгцээ шаардлага ихэссэн энэ цаг үед төрөес зөв бодлого барих хэрэгтэй хэмээн мэргэжилтнүүд анхааруулж байна. Дашрамд дурцахад Монголын геологичид дэлхийн геологийн шинжлэх ухаанд хоёр эрдэс, нэг чулуулаг шинээр бүртгүүлсэн байна.
