Манай орон газрын доорхи эрдэс баялгаараа баян. Өнөөдрийн байдлаар 6000 гаруй ашигт малтмал, эрдэс чулуулаг бүртгэгдээд байна. Ашигт малтмалыг дотор нь шатах ашигт малтмал, ашигт малтмал, ховор металл өнгөт металл, холимог металл, үнэт металл гэхчилэн хэд хэдэн бүлэгт хувааж үздэг. Цацраг идэвхтэй энэхүү эрдэсийн орд нь "Олон овоот"-ын алтны ордын дэргэд илэрсэн. Энэ мэт газрын ховор элемент "Олон овоот"-ын алтны ордын дэргэд байгаа нь манайх эрдэнийн чулуугаар баян орон гэдгийг баталж байгаа юм. Үнэт чулууны хувьд цагаан, ногоон хаш, мана, гартаам ч их байдаг байна. Түүнчлэн усан болор их илэрч байгаа. Усан болорыг линз, нүдний шил болон гоёл чимэглэлд хэрэглэдэг. Ер нь газрын ховор элемент нь химийн бүтцээсээ шалтгаалан та бидний өдөр тутмын хэрэглээ болох дэвтэр, зай, зоос, ээмэг, чихэвч, нүүрний энгэсэг, уруулын будаг, үсний хавчаар, түлхүүр, гэрэл чийдэн, компьютер, чүдэнз, эмэнд ашиглагддаг байна.

Манай улсад алт мөнгө зэрэг үнэт металлаас гадна алмааз илэрч байсан тохиолдол байжээ. Тухайлбал, Завханы Агит хангай гэдэг газарт алмааз илэрснийг ОХУ-д шинжилгээнд явуулж байсан тухай баримт байдаг аж. Сонирхуулахад, алмааз нь галт уулын хоолойд үүсдэг бөгөөд манай улсад 450 орчим галт уул бүртгэгдсэнээс тал хувь нь Сүхбаатарын Дарьгангад байдаг юм байна.

Энэ дагуу геологичид хайгуул хийсэн ч дорвитой зүйл олдоогүй гэнэ. Саяхан манай улсын Ерөнхийлөгч Япон улсад айлчлахдаа газрын доорх баялаг, ховор элементээрээ манай улс баялаг учраас хамтарч ажиллах боломж бийг онцолсон гэсэн байдаг. Энэ нь газрын ховор шорооныхоо 90 гаруй хувийг Хятад улсаас авдаг япончуудын хувьд азны юм болсон. Хэдийгээр манайд газрын ховор элемент их байгаа ч үүний хэрэгцээ шаардлага ихэссэн энэ цаг үед төрөес зөв бодлого барих хэрэгтэй хэмээн мэргэжилтнүүд анхааруулж байна. Дашрамд дурцахад Монголын геологичид дэлхийн геологийн шинжлэх ухаанд хоёр эрдэс, нэг чулуулаг шинээр бүртгүүлсэн байна.
